McCoy Family : Middle Georgia Family Photographer

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of photographing Heather and her family - a session that I truly loved and will never forget.  We had so much fun and laughed an obscene amount throughout the day.  When Heather contacted me about booking a session for her mother's birthday I was thrilled.  We ran into some scheduling dilemmas, but, finally, we were able to meet up for our session.  Just as predicted, we had a wonderful time.  I laughed until my cheeks hurt, something that I never fail to do with Heather around - she just has a wonderful sense of humor and she's witty to boot.

They had requested some Fall color so I took them to one of my favorite locations.  Now, poor Heather wore some really gorgeous shoes.  However, they weren't necessarily shoes meant for trecking through high grass and vines.  She told me she knew better, but, she was hoping perhaps I found a really pretty tree on a sidewalk somewhere.  Ha!  We all know better than that though, right? ;)

I loved this session.  Truly loved it.  I loved witnessing the relationship Heather has with her mom.  I loved the way Heather joked about her mom's "favorite child" Greta (the dog) and I consider myself luck to have spent the afternoon with them.

Hooks - Veal Family Shoot : Middle Georgia Family Photographer

It goes without saying that this family is beautiful.  Seriously, look at the little girl - she just screams model!  And that adorable little boy??  I could have taken his photo all day.  This session was so. much. fun.  There was plenty of laughter, tickling, funny faces and messy feet.  I loved spending time with them and watching them interact with eachother - there was so much love!  It's one of the things I love about my job - watching families and witnessing the connection and love they have for one another.  You could tell that these two little cuties adored their mom and she adored them.

P.S....Blogger is destroying my images - I have no idea why but it is frustrating me beyond belief!  These are NOT fuzzy - to see the clear image, just click on the photo!

Rykard Wedding: Middle Georgia Wedding Photographer

It has been quiet on the blog front again - I do apologize.  This time of year is busy, busy, busy.  The weather is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect and it's the time to get in those Christmas photos.  It is also the time for gorgeous weddings!

Last year I had the privilege of shooting this gorgeous couple's engagement photos.  Right away I knew we were going to click - they were both wearing black chucks.  That was enough for me!  Then, when they told me that the groom and his groomsmen would be wearing chucks for the wedding I was officially smitten.  For anyone that knows me, you know that Converse are pretty much all I wear.  With pretty much everything!

Fast forward to November 6th - it was a suprisingly cool and windy day - not typical for the beginning of November in middle Georgia.  I knew right away that the poor bride and her party were going to freeeze.  Despite the fact that they were shivering and their teeth were chattering, they were all awesome.  So patient, so kind and so much fun.  Seriously, the guys had me laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.  My cheeks still hurt!

Joel, Amber, you guys were simply amazing.  I can't thank you enough for being so wonderfully patient and so gracious.  Your wedding was stunning as were the two of you.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rykard!!!

I just love it when a couple chooses to do a "first sight" - it is SO much fun!!!!

New Baby Club Information : Middle Georgia Maternity & Newborn Photographer

I have been tossing around the idea of having a baby club for some time now.  I didn't want to take the same approach as other studios or other photographers do.  I wanted to do something different.  Something more than props and backdrops.  I wanted a fresh and more natural approach.  To capture those precious first few weeks as they really are.  It's about those little chubby bellies, the tiny little hands, the snuggling together, the kisses, the bottles, the baths. We aim to capture those moments, before they are gone.

I remember waking up in the wee hours of the morning with my first daughter and knowing I needed to soak up those moments because they were going to fly by and I would forget the tiny details. And, ten years later, I realize that, I indeed, forget some of the details. We come in to capture those - so that ten years from now you can look back and even though your memory might be fuzzy, the pictures won't be.

For newborns, we would come into your home and spend a few hours with you, typically in the first two weeks, capturing those everyday moments. It's not posed, it's not forced.  It's a more calm, more natural way to photograph newborns.  We want you to look back at the photos in the years to come and remember what it was like to hold that tiny little baby in your arms.  To remember that sweet baby smell.  Those things are so fleeting, they pass by so quickly.

From them on, we would come in every 3 months until the baby is to the age where he or she can be photographed outside. These photos would include not only portrait shots, detail shots, etc. but also interactions with you.

Each session comes with a CD of both high resolution images and resized images for web sharing.  You also have the option to purchase prints as well.  Each CD will have anywhere from 20-40 images from your session as well as a copyright release form so that you can print as often as you wish.

There are several baby club options to choose from:

For 5 sessions (newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & 1 year) - $600

For 6 sessions (maternity, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & 1 year) - $700

For 7 sessions (maternity, birth, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & 1 year) - $800

We are incredibly excited about this new venture and hope that you will be too!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us, we would love to hear from you!!

Jaime

Kirby - Adams Wedding : Middle Georgia Wedding Photographer

Last year I was contacted by a bride-to-be about doing her engagement and wedding photos.  We discussed, at great length, all of the amazing ideas she had for her wedding.  I knew from the very beginning that it was going to be something special.  We had a similiar love for color and texture and all things vintage inspired.  It was a match made in wedding photography heaven!  When the big day arrived I couldn't wait to get there to see all of the details, the dress, the location.  Needless to say, she didn't disappoint.  It was a photographer's dream come true!!!!  We had a fabulous time shooting this wedding and were so touched to have been a part of their day.  I was even given my own flower to wear - something that has never happened.  They worked hard at making sure everyone felt special...and they accomplished that!

Thank you both so much for letting us be a part of your day - it was beautiful and so full of love.

Cox Family : Middle Georgia Family Photographer

I think it goes without saying that I adore what I do.  Meeting new people, making new friends and being a part of someone's family, even if just for a few hours.  It is what makes me happy.  When I get to take photos of good friends, of people who are special parts of my life in different ways, well, that makes me plain giddy.  Case in point, this beautiful, funny and warm family.  We have been friends for a very long time...and so getting the chance to capture their dynamic, their love, well, that was very special to me.  (Catching up over some Chinese food was icing on the cake!)  I adore their daughter, who is so full of life and just gorgeous.  The camera loves her too, and it shows!

To my sweet friends, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for letting me do what I love - capture you, as you really are. The laughs, the rumpled hair, and the love that you have for one another.

xoxo,
Jaime

Martin Family : Middle Georgia Family Photographer

As a natural light photographer I often have to fight the elements - and in the case of this family shoot - not just once, but, twice.  We had originally scheduled to shoot a few months ago, but, due to the weather we had to reschedule.  We rescheduled for this past weekend and wouldn't you know it, the weather was out to get us again!  After weeks of no rain whatsoever, it started pouring on us 5 minutes into the session!!

Regardless of mother nature and her sense of humor we still managed to do the shoot and this beautiful family just shines in front of the camera.  I had an absolute blast photographing them.  I loved their sense of humor, the love for their children and all of the laughter.

A huge thanks to the Martin family for letting me be a part of their day!!

Also, if you are a fan and a client of ours, please be sure to stop by and leave a review on our Facebook Fan Page!  We would love to hear from you!!

My Beautiful Best Friend : Middle Georgia Photographer

Let me preface this by giving you a little background information.  I met Melissa 20 years ago in wood shop in the 7th grade.  We bonded over our mutual love for New Kids on the Block.  From that point on we were pretty much inseperable.  As with any friendship, we have been through a lot, but, we always came back to eachother.  Honestly, calling her my best friend really isn't fitting.  She's my sister.  Her mom is like my 2nd mom and her father was my 2nd father.   I know that I can call her with anything and she will always listen.  I know that I can act like a complete idiot and she will never hold it against me.  I know that she would go above and beyond for me and for my girls.  It is rare to come across someone who will love you, believe in you and stand by you through anything.  She accepts my "unique" personality with grace and love.  She always has.

We have stood at eachother's sides through the loss of her father, through my wedding, through the birth of my children and her son.  She has held my hand, even when I wanted to pull away and run for the shadows.  I am forever grateful for her and there will never be enough words to express how much she means to me.

She came down for our 15 year highschool reunion (ack! really?!  15 years!!!!!)  and we had a wonderful time together.  When she pulled out of my driveway I cried like a baby.  I know she's only a phone call away, but, it's altogether different when she's right here, by my side.  On her last morning here we took off and did a quick photo shoot.  She was my first subject back in photography class my sophmore year...so it was, for me, coming full circle.
